FAQ

  • How long are camps?
    All camps are 5 days unless otherwise noted.  All camps are 3 hours, from 9am-noon OR 1pm-4pm unless otherwise noted.
  • Can I register for multiple camps?
    Students may register for multiple camps, and may repeat the same level of the same camp with enrollment in the subsequent camp.
  • How do I pick a camp?
    Choose wisely. When choosing camps, ability and experience takes precedence over the suggested ages.  For example, if a 6 yr. old plays at an advanced level, the child should register for an Advanced or Inter/Adv class.  A teen (or adult) who has no experience may register for a Beginning class.
  • Do you provide instruments?
    Students must provide their own instruments with the exception of piano/keyboard and drums/percussion.  (Drum students may bring practice pad and snare if they own one.)
  • What about stands?
    Bringing a portable music stand to camp is encouraged.
  • Can I sign up for private lessons too?
    Private lessons are available upon request for any student, any age, year round.  During the summer, most of these lessons are scheduled between 4pm and 9pm and on weekends. Don’t hesitate to contact us for this.
  • What happens if there aren’t enough signups?
    A minimum number of students is required for each camp to make. In the event a camp does not make, we will happily offer the equivalent value in private instruction hours to the student through summer music lessons presenting the same material as in the respective camp, or a full refund will be offered.
  • I need to cancel my registration. Can I get a refund?
    No refunds will be issued for cancellations received by the Music Retreat from enrollee within one week before the beginning date of camp. Cancellations must be received in writing/email prior to one week before start of camp to receive a refund.
